Hamilton School District hosts Emergency Officials Annual Meeting

Emergency officials from local communities gathered at Hamilton High School on Wednesday, September 9 for the Emergency Officials Annual Meeting. The event serves as an opportunity for school leaders, law enforcement and fire department officials to collaborate at the start of the school year to discuss crisis response strategies.

More than 25 emergency officials and school administrators attended the luncheon, which the district has been hosting for more than a decade. This year the meeting served as an opportunity to introduce the school district’s new Raptor Technologies Emergency Management System and Standard Response Protocol (SRP). These updates provide both students and staff a consistent set of responses and common language to use when situations arise that require a heightened level of attention or action. Having a shared understanding of what to do and consistently practicing those responses helps school leaders be prepared to respond calmly and confidently when it matters most.

Representatives from Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, Sussex Fire Department, Lannon Police Department, Menomonee Falls Police Department, Menomonee Falls Fire Department and Pewaukee Fire Department were in attendance this year.
