Celebration of Fall Learning to be held Nov. 3

Willow Springs Learning Center will celebrate the changing seasons Nov. 3 at their Celebration of Fall Learning event.

Activities include storytime presented by Willow Springs staff, enjoying pumpkin-shaped cookies and the Harvest Parade. Parents are invited to come and watch the children parade through school proudly showcasing a special project or learning example.

The celebration begins at 9 a.m. for the morning session and at 1 p.m. for the afternoon session. Please note the parade will last approximately 15 minutes. It is planned for 10:30 a.m. for morning students, and 2:15 p.m. for afternoon students.

This event is sponsored by Willow Springs Learning Center and Willow Springs 4K Parent Group with generous donations from local businesses and families.

Willow Springs announces Crayola ColorCycle drive

Crayola ColorCycle is a program designed to repurpose markers and eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers into landfills. The program accepts all brands of plastic markers, not just Crayola markers, including dry erase markers and highlighters.

Do you have unusable markers at home?  Please send them to school in a ziplock bag. Students will also be taking dried out markers from their classroom to the bin near the office.

5 ways to stay connected at Willow Springs Learning Center

Our newsletter, Words from Willow, is sent to parents each Wednesday during the school year to inform you about what is happening at school and provide opportunities for involvement. Here are some tips to keep you connected and informed:

  • Look for the links under Community Events in the lower right corner to find afterschool and community activities for your children. Paper flyers are no longer sent home with students.
  • Whitelist addresses with our domain (@hamilton.k12.wi.us) by adding them to your contacts or configure your junk or SPAM filters so they are recognized as safe.
  • Check your email junk folder if you have not received a school newsletter in a week.
  • Do not use the unsubscribe option at the bottom of our email messages. Instead, go into the Infinite Campus Portal and change your email address or settings. When an email is unsubscribed using the option on the newsletter, the district is not able to send to that address in the future. This includes messages sent from our school and all other communication from the district or other schools.
  • Be aware that if you forward a message, the recipient is able to unsubscribe your email address from our system without your knowledge.
