Hamilton Portrait of a Graduate approved
A Portrait of a Graduate is a clearly articulated vision that defines the skills, attributes, and dispositions the Hamilton School District wants every student to possess upon graduation. Developed through a collaborative process with input from staff, students and families, this document reflects the collective aspirations of our community. The Portrait will serve as a strategic guide for curriculum development, instructional priorities, and student readiness initiatives.
Transportation and Site Improvement Plan approved
The Hamilton School District has conducted a comprehensive review of transportation safety and site functionality across all schools. This multi-tiered process included an external safety audit, a formal traffic study and site-level evaluations, resulting in targeted structural and procedural improvements for the 2025–26 school year. The recommended changes are designed to enhance traffic flow, improve pedestrian safety and strengthen supervision during arrival and dismissal.
Open Enrollment applicants on waitlist
All applicants from non-resident families to be enrolled in the District through Open Enrollment will be placed on a waiting list for the 2025-26 school year. Due to increasing resident student enrollment, the School Board did not create any new Open Enrollment seats in January. When the Open Enrollment application period ended on April 30, the District had received 114 nonresident requests for entry into the district. Administrators will monitor enrollment throughout the summer to determine if any space will be available for 2025-26 placement.
