Woodside Elementary School in spotlight
Woodside Elementary School Principal Melissa Horn and two instructional coaches spoke to board members about student engagement and discourse. They shared examples of how teachers give students opportunities to solve complex problems, work in teams and think critically.
Summer Opportunities 2026 recommendations approved
Summer Opportunities 2026 will take place from June 22 – July 17 with no classes on July 3. Registration will open March 9. Three buildings will be utilized for classes. Students in grades 4K-1 will attend classes at Woodside Elementary School. Students in grades 2-4 will attend classes at Silver Spring Intermediate School. Students in grades 5-12 will attend classes at Hamilton High School. Summer Opportunities 2026 will be offered to district families at no cost.
Contracted CESA services will continue
The Hamilton School District has utilized services provided by Cooperative Education Services Agency (CESA #1) to assist students who are at-risk, students who are not succeeding in the traditional school environment and/or students with specialized needs regarding educational services. CESA offers a variety of programs in Special Education and credit attainment. Board members approved continuing these services for the 2026-27 school year.
Managed Print Services Provider approved
The district conducted a comprehensive evaluation of its print environment and is recommending Gordon Flesch Company (GFC) for our Managed Print Services (MPS). This transition aims to modernize our equipment, reduce long-term operational costs and streamline support for our staff.
