Student handbooks approved
School Board members approved yearly updates to Templeton Middle School, Silver Spring Intermediate School and all elementary school student handbooks. Changes include minor language and date updates to accurately provide 2026-27 information. Templeton Middle School’s new start and end times for the school day are included. Information about the district’s updated procedures for collecting outstanding student fees has also been added. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, student accounts with unpaid balances as of June 15 may be sent to collections when a student reaches the end of a school transition year, including completion of 4th grade, completion of 8th grade and graduation from 12th grade.
Long Term Capital Improvement Plan approved
School Board members annually review and approve a Long Term Capital Improvement Plan spanning at least ten years. The plan is designed to maximize financial efficiency and address critical infrastructure needs. This year future funding allocations for roofing have been significantly increased. The adjustments are based on data and priorities identified in the comprehensive 2026 Roofing Analysis. Other projects on the list include items such as HVAC equipment upgrades, fire alarm replacements and safety upgrades.
