‘Hamilton Cares’ continues connecting families with mental health resources

With the 2026-27 school year now underway, Hamilton School District is again sharing information about Hamilton Cares with families and the larger community. The website was launched in fall of 2025 and shares important resources in one easy-to-navigate location, serving as a dedicated mental health well-being resource hub.

“As families settle into the routine of a new school year, we want to ensure our community knows that help is always accessible,” explains Superintendent Paul Mielke, Ph.D. “Hamilton Cares reflects our ongoing, long-term commitment to student wellness. It is a resource families can turn to at any time, day or night.”

The web page provides access to:

  • School-Based Mental Health Services: Information on how students can connect with Student Services within school buildings, including school counselors, school psychologists and social workers
  • Crisis Resources: Immediate contact numbers for mental health emergencies and 24/7 support lines for families needing help outside of school hours
  • Community-Based Support: Links to local mental health providers and organizations throughout the community that offer additional resources
  • Speak Up, Speak Out: Created by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS), the Speak Up, Speak Out resource center is staffed around the clock to respond to tips and deploy a local community response by communicating with school administrators, law enforcement and counselors.
  • Care Solace: Care Solace is a mental health care coordination service that finds available providers matched to specific needs. The service is free to all Hamilton School District families and staff. The partnership helps to expedite mental health services. Care Solace is available 24 hours a day/365 days a year to help individuals find the help they need.

“We know that academic success is deeply connected to emotional well-being,” adds Dr. Mielke. “Hamilton Cares continues to bridge the gap between awareness and action, ensuring no family has to navigate these challenges alone.”
