Hamilton Athletics and Activities Director Selected

The Hamilton School Board has approved the hiring of Jeff Newcomer as Hamilton School District Athletics and Activities Director. Newcomer replaces Mike Gosz who retired.

Newcomer has 15 years of experience at both the high school and college level. For the last eight years, he has been activities director at Monroe High School in the School District of Monroe. Prior to his time in Monroe, he served in leadership positions at both Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

“I am honored and excited to join the team at Hamilton,” said Newcomer. “Hamilton’s commitment to academic excellence and passion for athletics and activities are deeply inspiring, and I am confident that together we can build upon the success of the past and propel our students to even greater heights. I am eager to partner with our talented coaches, staff, and students and look forward to being an active member in the Hamilton community.”

Newcomer earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He has extensive experience in managing sports programs, clubs and activities and works closely with students and coaches to encourage growth and continual improvement.

“We are excited to bring Mr. Newcomer on board for this very important position,” said Hamilton School District Superintendent Paul Mielke, Ph.D. “His leadership and vision will undoubtedly drive our activities and athletics to new heights, maintaining the strong tradition of Hamilton Charger excellence.”
