Hamilton High School is gearing up for a week filled with school spirit, fun activities and athletic events as the district celebrates Homecoming Week October 5–10. This year’s celebration will feature a campus pregame parade. The new tradition is designed to bring students, families, staff and community members together before the Homecoming football game Friday evening.
The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9. It will be held on campus beginning in front of the Hamilton Fine Arts Center and winding its way through the roundabout near Templeton Middle School eventually ending behind Silver Spring Intermediate School. After the parade, spectators are invited to visit the Red Zone from 5-7p.m. for a pregame celebration including food trucks, face painting, music and other family friendly activities. The Red Zone will be located on the high school campus north of the tennis courts.
The Homecoming Football game begins at 7p.m. at Grove Field, where the Hamilton Chargers will take on the Germantown Warhawks.
Students have the opportunity to participate in Homecoming festivities throughout the entire week including spirit theme days, Powder Puff Football Games and a pep assembly held Friday at school.
The week will conclude on Saturday evening, October 10 with the Homecoming Dance. Students may purchase dance tickets for themselves and their guest for $15 online at GoFan.com until 11:59pm on Oct. 9th. Hamilton Students only will be able to purchase tickets until 8 p.m. the night of the dance with a school ID. Doors open at 7 p.m. and no students will be allowed in after 8 p.m. Students are expected to stay until at least 8:30 p.m. Students who are bringing a guest from another school must complete a guest form and submit it to the office no later than 3 p.m. on Oct 7.
