Hamilton DECA experiences success at state

A total of 38 Hamilton High School DECA members competed Feb. 22-24 in the Wisconsin DECA State Career Development Conference. Hamilton earned 79 awards and qualified 17 members to advance to the international competition in April.

The following students were recognized for their success:

  • Alayna Fry, first place overall and four medals in human resource management;
  • Olivia George, first place overall in community giving project and one medal in retail merchandising;
  • Aayush Iyengar and Dhruv Ahuja, first place overall in entrepreneurship innovation plan;
  • Joshua Dahlgren and Joshua Xue, second place overall and three medals in travel and tourism;
  • Dhruv Ahuja, second place overall in economics excellence, third place overall and three medals in business services;
  • Madeline Yingst, third place overall and three medals in principles of business management and administration;
  • Aayush Iyengar, fourth place overall and two medals in business services;
  • Connor Wilcox, fourth place overall and two medals in entrepreneurship;
  • Samantha Seiler and Carly Elkin, fourth place overall in integrated marketing campaign product;
  • Akhil Pidikiti, sixth place overall and two medals in hotel and lodging management;
  • Natalie Olson, seventh place overall and two medals in principles of marketing;
  • Madelyn Gammon and Norah Miller, seventh place overall and two medals in hospitality services;
  • Krishay Toomu and Rishi Kothinti, seventh place overall and two medals in entrepreneurship;
  • Audrey Davies, two medals in personal financial literacy;
  • John Dow, two medals in principles of finance;
  • Maya Desai, two medals in restaurant and food service management;
  • Andrew Dahlgren, one medal in hotel and lodging management;
  • Sonia Wright, one medal in principles of marketing;
  • Srikar Kalapala, one medal in accounting applications;
  • Brooke Price, one medal in apparel and accessories;
  • Oluwatodimu Afolayan, one medal in entrepreneurship;
  • Shashwat Shastri, one medal in restaurant and food service management; and
  • Natalie Lassiter and Hailey Stubler, one medal in hospitality services.
