Hamilton one-act play earns awards at state


For the first time in school history Hamilton High School’s one-act play earned every award possible at the State Theatre One Act competition. Hamilton’s production of “No Problem” earned the Critic’s Choice Award which represents the highest standards of excellence at the State Festival. Criteria for consideration includes innovative vision, authentic storytelling and artistic development while clearly supporting learning and development of students.

The entire cast was awarded Outstanding Ensemble and all five cast members won Outstanding Acting Awards. The cast includes Callen Kluender, Ava Lally, Eliana Mitchell, Shannon O’Dwyer and Jonathan Steffen.

The production crew earned the Outstanding Technical Theatre Award. Crew members are Sydney Alexander-Brown, Gracy Losey, Linnea Meneses, Nicholas Mitchell, Jack Nagai, Tyler Vergin, Autumn Walentoski and Lillian Zellner.

Hamilton Drama Director Sarah Plamann won Outstanding Director.
