Students honored for HFAC artwork selection
Hamilton High School students were recognized for having a piece of their artwork chosen for permanent display in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center. Artwork by Tess Dwyer, Melina Koehn and Emily LaFore was selected for the HFAC lobby. All three students attended the meeting and were presented with a check for the purchase of their artwork.
Charger Robotics participants presented
Members of the Chargers Robotics Team 537 from Hamilton High School shared highlights of their season and future goals.
Hamilton High School 2025-26 Student Handbook approved
Hamilton High School Principal Dominic Bauer presented recommended changes to the student handbook. Yearly and language updates were recommended, along with details of the new bell schedule/advisement time. There are also updates to the bus rider rules to clarify that HHS students can only board the bus at HHS and may not walk to TMS to board their bus. Updated information regarding student fee payments outlines how not paying fines will impact participation in extracurricular activities and graduation.
Additional interventionist staffing approved
Due to increased student needs, additional intervention staffing (a total of 1.70 FTE) is recommended at Maple Avenue Elementary School, Marcy Elementary School and Woodside Elementary School.
Additional special education staffing approved
Due to increased student needs, additional special education staffing (0.78 FTE) is recommended at Hamilton High School.
Additional certified teaching staffing approved
Due to projected enrollment needs, additional art staffing (.20 FTE) is recommended for Lannon Elementary School so the teacher will also be able to travel to Maple Avenue Elementary School.
Hamilton High School Adaptive Sports League approved
The Adaptive Sports League Partnership between Hamilton School District and Oak Creek-Franklin School District will begin in the 2025-26 school year with the goal of eventually expanding to other local districts. The purpose of this league is to ensure that high school students with disabilities who cannot successfully participate in existing co-curricular spots have the same opportunity to experience the benefits of a quality competitive sports program.
