Templeton Middle School (TMS) students and staff came together the week of October 5-9 to promote kindness, inclusion and bullying prevention as part of Bullying Prevention Week at TMS. The week’s activities culminated when TMS students and staff joined other schools and communities in “Going BLUE” against bullying and cyber bullying on Oct 9. Friday’s theme of “No One is Alone” encouraged students to make kindness a priority and come together to ensure everyone knows they are valued, supported and included.

Students participated in daily activities and challenges designed to encourage positive interactions and empower students to make a difference in the lives of their peers, such as inviting someone new to join their lunch table in the cafeteria. Student leaders also delivered daily messages during school announcements about the power of kindness and the importance of speaking up if you see something wrong.
“Small acts of kindness can have a tremendous impact on our school community,” said Templeton Middle School Principal Brad Hoffmann. “Our goal during Bullying Prevention Week is to remind students that every one of them has the ability to make someone else feel welcome, speak up when they see something wrong and help create a school where everyone belongs.”
