ProHealth Care donates CPR training kit to Hamilton School District

Hamilton School District staff members will have expanded access to lifesaving CPR training in the 2026-27 school year, thanks to a new CPR training kit donated by the American Heart Association and funded through the generous support of ProHealth Care.

Representatives from the American Heart Association recently presented the CPR in School Training Kit to Hamilton School District nurses. The kit includes CPR manikins, instructional materials and training designed to support ongoing CPR education and skills practice.

“This generous donation provides additional opportunities for our staff to develop and maintain lifesaving CPR skills, helping us strengthen emergency preparedness across the district,” Hamilton School District Nurses Tracy Gordon and Erin Coppersmith explained in a joint statement. “Every minute matters during a cardiac emergency.”

According to the American Heart Association, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals each year in the United States. Immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival, making CPR training a critical component of emergency preparedness.
