Thirty-five Hamilton High School students competed April 24-29 at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is the culmination of the DECA year and involves more than 23,000 high school students competing for international honors.

The ICDC is part of DECA’s competitive events program, which allows students to compete for regional, state and international titles. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios to test students’ academic understanding and skills development.
Hamilton students receiving recognition at the international level:
- Vihaan Kulkarni was awarded three medals in recognition of his role play presentation and placing as a top 10 finalist in Apparel and Accessories Marketing.
- Dylan Frankovis was awarded one medal for his marketing cluster exam in Automotive Services Marketing.
- Alex Ghere was awarded one medal as a top 20 finalist in Entrepreneurship.
- Olivia Thames was awarded one medal as a top 20 finalist in Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling.
- Elise Davidson was awarded two medals in recognition of her presentation and placing as a top 20 finalist in Integrated Marketing Campaign – Event.
- The team of Maia Dillow and Suhani Shah earned one medal for their project presentation in the event Integrated Marketing Campaign – Product.
Additionally, Hamilton High School senior Aanya Ranasaria was awarded the Otis Spunkmeyer Scholarship. Ranasaria was selected based on her school store involvement, leadership ability, community service and academic performance.
As a chapter, Hamilton High School was recognized for being a Gold Certified School-Based Enterprise and completing four DECA, Inc. campaigns. These campaigns are designed to help grow local chapters and build lasting partnerships within the school and community. Hamilton DECA completed the following campaigns: Community Service, Membership, Promotion and Advocacy.
