Community members are invited to nominate Hamilton High School graduates for the 2026 Distinguished Alumnus Award. The recognition serves as a historical account of the excellence nurtured at Hamilton High School, providing a role model for current students and helping to connect the future to the past.
Nominations are solicited from the community and voted on by Hamilton High School staff.
This tradition dates back to 1989. Nominations are made by completing the submission form on the Hamilton School District website. Submissions for the 2026 award are due April 30, 2026.
The 2025 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient was Kenneth Stribling from the class of 1970. Stribling was named president of the National United Committee to Protect Pensions and found himself in the national spotlight when he was invited to speak at the Democratic National Committee in Chicago in 2024.
Community members are asked to include the nominee’s name, address and phone number, along with a 50- to 75-word description of why the person is worthy of the award. High school faculty members will review nominations and recommend a finalist in spring.
