Hamilton students master web interactivity with JavaScript Certification

Hamilton High School congratulates ten students who have successfully passed the Information Technology Specialist (ITS) exam in JavaScript. This certifies that these students have mastered the programming logic and dynamic scripting skills essential for modern web application development.

While HTML and CSS control the look and feel of the web, JavaScript is the “brain” behind the behavior of modern websites. By earning this certification, these students have demonstrated proficiency in writing, debugging and maintaining code that makes web pages interactive and functional.

“Passing the JavaScript exam is a major milestone because it requires a shift from simple design to actual computational thinking,” explains Hamilton High School Business Education Teacher Brenda Savic. “These students have proven they understand the core logic that powers the internet. This gives them a distinct advantage in the tech workforce,” adds Savic.

The following students passed the ITS exam in JavaScript:

  • Andrew Emrich
  • Ashley Mikl
  • Gavin Roberts
  • Liam Gatdula
  • Marko Roksandic
  • Michaela Harnett
  • Prachi Bendre
  • Vidushi Pandya
  • Yi Lilian Lee
  • Cullen Coppersmith

The ITS Program acts as a validation of entry-level skills that are in high demand. This certification is recognized globally and serves as a credential for college applications and resumes.
