Hamilton drama receives two Jerry Awards

Hamilton High School sophomore Jillian Arthur was awarded the Jerry Lead Performer Award for this year’s musical “Freaky Friday.” In addition, the overall production won for outstanding ensemble.

Arthur will perform a solo from the musical at the June 12 Jerry Awards held at Overture Hall in Madison and is eligible to compete in national level Jimmy Awards.

Jerry Awards are the high school equivalent of Broadway’s Tony Awards. The program encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater.

Sarah Plamann is a district music teacher and the Hamilton theater and choir director.
