Hamilton drama student competes at Jerry Awards

Hamilton High School senior Hayden Hotchkiss was one of 20 semifinalists who competed May 22 at the state Jerry Awards. Students performed live at the Overture Center of the Arts in Madison and the competition was live streamed on YouTube and the Jerry Awards Facebook page.

Jerry Awards, a Wisconsin High School Musical Awards Program, encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater. They are the high school equivalent of Broadway’s Tony Awards.

Sarah Plamann is a district music teacher and the Hamilton theater and choir director.
