Hamilton marching band takes first

Hamilton High School Charger Marching Band took first place Sept. 29 in class AAAA competition at Waukesha West High School Fox River Invite and placed third of eight participating bands overall. A day earlier, the band took third in class AAAA at Waukesha South High School MarchFest and fourth of 10 bands overall.

Members of the public are invited Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. to a free outdoor performance at Grove Field. This will be their last outdoor performance before the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Marching Band Championship at UW-Whitewater Oct. 19.

The band’s 2013 field show is inspired by the board game “Clue” and features music written by the rock band “The Who.” Templeton Middle School band students will attend this performance.

Hamilton High School Grove Field is located at W220 N6151 Town Line Road in Sussex.
