Hamilton press box dedicated at football game

The Hamilton High School press box was dedicated at a football game this fall prior to a Charger varsity football game. Recognized were the individuals and organizations who made it possible.

The Sussex Lions Club, Hamilton Athletic Booster Club “Charging Forward” campaign and the Charger Football Program provided generous financial support for the facility. In addition, numerous local individuals provided labor and materials for the project at a reduced rate. They include: Bill Bernarde, B&M Enterprises of Sussex, carpentry; Dennis Reimer, Reimer Trucking and Trenching Inc. of Menomonee Falls, excavation; Brian Jaeger, Performance Roofing Systems Inc. of Richfield, roof; Larry Hillman, Hillman Masonry, Inc of Sussex, masonry block; Joe Giuffre, Phil Giuffre & Sons of Menomonee Falls, concrete flatwork; and Jim Dawson, Lannon Stone Products of Lannon, stone backfill.

The facility, located behind the visitors’ bleachers at Grove Athletic Stadium, has 500 square feet of occupied space for staff and coaches to film and scout games. It allows the existing press box to be used for news media and game management officials such as scorers, announcers and game clock operators. It has a split-face decorative block exterior with metal panels and a rubber-covered wooden roof. Storage for track and field equipment will be accommodated on the ground level.
