Lannon Elementary School fourth-graders will present a Immigrant Wax Museum at the Milwaukee Public Museum on March 11 from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. in the European Village.
Students have researched why immigrants left their old countries, what the trip to America entailed, arrival in America and the final journey to Wisconsin to begin a new life.
Each student will read a letter written to friends or family left behind in their old country. They will be in costume and have a display board of information and pictures.
Parents and community members are encouraged to see the students’ immigrant project. The Milwaukee Public Museum is located at 800 West Wells St., Milwaukee.
