In its first competitions among esteemed Class AAAA schools, the Hamilton High School Charger Marching Band had a strong showing Sept. 29 and 30.

Competing Sept. 29 in the Waukesha South High School Marchfest, the Charger band scored 72.1 points, an all-time high score for the school, and took second place in class AAAA and third place among band of all classes.

The next day, the Chargers took the field at the Waukesha West High School Fox River Invitational and again took second place among Class AAAA high schools and third place overall. With a combined weekend score of 139.9, the Charger Band had the best overall performance among bands that went from Class AAA to Class AAAA. The “Waukesha Weekend” proved to be an excellent start to the Chargers’ competitive season as a Class AAAA high school.

The Charger Band will compete again Oct. 13 at the Cudahy Invitational.
