The Templeton Middle School Eighth Grade Band earned an excellent rating from a panel of adjudicators March 31 at the Wisconsin School Music Association Concert Band Festival. The festival, held at Lake Mills High School, featured performing groups from four high schools and four middle schools.
Three parts comprised the concert band festival: band members listening to and critiquing the performance of another band; performance and adjudication of each band; and a band clinic by one of the festival adjudicators.
Each performing band was rated by a panel of four adjudicators with regard to tone quality, intonation development, balance and blend, technique, musical interpretation, musical effect and other factors. The Templeton band performed three musical works at the festival and received a top rating of excellent from the panel.
