Woodside Elementary School will celebrate the contributions veterans have made to our country Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a schoolwide program that will feature a “Wall of Veterans.” The school has invited veterans and their spouses to participate in the program.
Students have been given paper “bricks” on which they will provide information about a veteran they know. The bricks include a frame in which students will affix a veteran’s photo or draw a picture. The many bricks will be displayed on the gym hallway wall. Students representing each grade level will be chosen to present their bricks during the schoolwide program.
The program also includes a flag ceremony performed by Boy and Girl Scouts, military and patriotic songs and a multimedia presentation.
