Hamilton High School proudly celebrated a successful and inspiring opening to the Southeastern Wisconsin Adaptive Sports League’s inaugural indoor baseball season. The highly anticipated season debut brought together student athletes, families, school staff and community members in a show of support for inclusive athletics.

Hamilton Athletics and Activities Director Jeff Newcomer emphasized the broader significance of the event. “This league is about more than sports. It’s about opportunity, inclusion and community,” he said. “The turnout and support we saw at our first indoor baseball game speaks volumes about what this program means to our school district.”
The inaugural team, coached by Melissa Kappeler, Dylan Bolin and John Roubik, will continue its four-game season throughout May. Community members are encouraged to attend upcoming games and support the athletes.

The Southeastern Wisconsin Adaptive Sports League, a partnership between the Hamilton School District and the Oak Creek-Franklin School District, launched at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. The league offers three seasonal sports: indoor soccer, bowling and now indoor baseball.
With strong community support and growing interest, district leaders are optimistic about the future of the Adaptive Sports League and its continued expansion.
