Templeton Middle School students bring history to life this May through a creative, schoolwide “Doors of Democracy” challenge celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

As part of the Semiquincentennial celebration, students are transforming classroom doors into a “Hall of Leadership,” each highlighting an influential American and their contributions to the nation’s history. Students researched their selected historical figure and then designed a display featuring key facts, images and quotes. The featured leaders span categories such as Civil Rights, Presidents, the arts, sports and pop culture.
The Doors of Democracy challenge provides a hands-on opportunity for students to explore American history, collaborate with peers and build school spirit as Templeton Middle School prepares to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
