Hamilton High School Rocketry Club members took home the title of state champions at the 2026 Wisconsin Youth Rocketry Challenge on April 19.
“Reclaiming the Peterson Cup means a great deal to our club and Hamilton’s rocketry program,” shares Hamilton High School junior and Rocketry Club President and Co-Founder Patrick Wang.
The team edged out eight other teams representing six Wisconsin high schools to earn the top score.
The Wisconsin Youth Rocketry Challenge serves as the state’s premier proving ground for high school rocketry teams, emphasizing engineering discipline, flight analytics and precise execution. The achievement caps a season of steady growth and sets an ambitious benchmark for the club’s underclassmen heading into the next season.
