Hamilton engineering and machining students tour Triangle Tool

Hamilton High School students enrolled in machining and engineering classes visited Triangle Tool in Milwaukee March 5 for an engaging and educational industry tour. The visit gave students a firsthand look at how the concepts and skills they are learning in the classroom are applied in real-world manufacturing environments.

During the tour, students explored the facility and observed the many stages involved in modern manufacturing, including tool and die work, programming, injection mold design, molding and precision machining. “Seeing these processes in action helped students better understand how engineering, computer programming and machining all work together to produce highly precise parts used in a variety of industries,” explains Hamilton High School Business Education Teacher and Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator Sheila Frafjord.

The visit provided students with valuable insight into the many career opportunities available in machining and engineering. Frafjord would like to thank Triangle Tool for welcoming students. “We had great tour guides who helped explain different pathways and careers within the manufacturing industry,” adds Frafjord. “Partnerships like this play an important role in preparing the next generation of skilled professionals in manufacturing and engineering.”
