Hamilton School District hosts Emergency Officials Annual Meeting

Emergency officials from local communities gathered at Hamilton High School on Wednesday, September 10 for the Emergency Officials Annual Meeting. The event serves as an opportunity for school leaders, law enforcement and fire department officials to collaborate at the start of the school year to discuss crisis response strategies.

More than 25 emergency officials and school administrators attended the luncheon, which the district has been hosting for more than a decade. The meeting includes table-top exercises that simulate various emergency situations such as power outages, bomb threats, social media threats or severe weather responses. The annual practice allows district officials to continually refine responses and ensure all parties are aligned in protecting our school community.

Representatives from Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, Sussex Fire Department, Lannon Police Department, Butler Police Department, Menomonee Falls Police Department, Menomonee Falls Fire Department and Pewaukee Fire Department were in attendance this year.
