The Hamilton School District is proud to announce the launch of Hamilton Cares, a new webpage designed to support the mental health and well-being of students.
The Hamilton Cares page, available now on the district’s website, brings together a wide range of resources in one easy-to-navigate location. The initiative was developed in response to growing needs for accessible, reliable mental health information and support, both within schools and throughout the broader community.
“This is about making it easier for people to find help when they need it,” explains Superintendent Paul Mielke, Ph.D. “Hamilton Cares is a reflection of our district’s ongoing commitment to supporting the whole child and the whole community.”
The webpage includes:
- School-Based Mental Health Services: Information about how students can access Student Services support within school buildings, such as school counselors, school psychologists and social workers
- Crisis Resources: Immediate contacts for mental health emergencies and 24/7 support lines for students and families who need help outside of normal school hours
- Community Based Support: Links to local mental health providers and organizations throughout the community that offer additional resources when necessary
- Speak Up, Speak Out: Created by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS), the Speak Up, Speak Out resource center is staffed around the clock to respond to tips and deploy a local community response by communicating with school administrators, law enforcement and counselors.
- Care Solace: Care Solace is a mental health care coordination service that finds available providers matched to specific needs. The service is free to all Hamilton School District families and staff. The partnership helps to expedite mental health services. Care Solace is available 24 hours a day/365 days a year to help individuals find the help they need.
“We know that academic success is deeply connected to emotional well-being,” adds Dr. Mielke. “Hamilton Cares helps bridge the gap between awareness and action.”
