Community invited to ‘Parenting Today’s Stressed Teens’ presentation

Community members are invited to enjoy an evening of laughter and learning with best-selling author, psychologist and national media personality Dr. John Duffy on Monday, December 2 at Silver Spring Intermediate School. The free presentation titled “Parenting Today’s Stressed Teens: A Comprehensive Guide to Causes and Solutions” runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

“In these challenging times, parents need every tool and insight available to support their families,” explains Hamilton High School Counselor Kristin Hasbrook. “Dr. Duffy’s presentation will provide a blend of support, knowledge and practical advice we can all benefit from.”

Dr. Duffy will explore new realities and explain stressors that today’s adolescents face, from social media and academic stress to emotional disorders and body image issues. Dr. Duffy says our children are more disconnected from their peers than ever before. He will share ways to help make sense of and minimize the impact on adolescents. This presentation will leave you feeling hopeful and ready to help members of younger generations navigate today’s world.

Dr. Duffy is an expert in parenting and family relationships. “His approach is both insightful and relatable, ensuring parents leave with practical strategies they can apply immediately,” says Hasbrook. “We’re incredibly fortunate to have a professional of this caliber visit our community. This is a rare chance to gain expert insights. Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity!”

The December 2 presentation is free to attend. However, pre-registration is required. Visit the Hamilton School District website to register.
