Hamilton High School Club Action has teamed with the Sussex Green Team to host a free recycling event to collect plastics not normally recycled. The collection will run until April 24.
Collection items include any brand phone case and PopSockets brand products and packaging.
Community members are encouraged to contribute to the students’ recycling efforts by bringing their old items to the high school. Collection bins are in Hamilton High School’s front office, school library and room S5.
For every pound of plastic collected Club Action earns money to be donated to a non-profit organization of their choice. The plastics will be shipped, cleaned and pelletized and metals melted down at no expense to the club. The recycling project helps the environment in Wisconsin by keeping waste out of landfills and protecting the water supply.
Hamilton High School is located at W220N6151 Town Line Road, Sussex.
