Templeton Middle School’s Charger Robotics Team 31589 – Cyber Turtles won the First Place Champions Award Feb. 6 at the Wisconsin FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) State Championship. The team advances to the FIRST Championship World Festival in April.
The Champions Award is presented to the team that demonstrates superior knowledge in all aspects of FIRST which include project, core values, robot programming and the robot games. Cyber Turtles also took third place in the robot games with a best team score of 480 points.
“This is a huge honor for the team and something that many teams never get to experience as only the top one or two teams in the state get to attend,” said Charger Robotics FLL Advisor Kathy Betters. “They worked very hard this season with a goal of ‘stay healthy, have fun and win state.’”
