Silver Spring Intermediate School Principal Deanna Wellens and Student Council Advisor and Reading Specialist Patty Sankey were selected as the 2020-21 Wisconsin Association of School Councils (WASC) Junior and Middle School (JAM) Administrator of the Year and Region IV Regional Advisor of the Year, respectively.
The awards recognize Wellens and Sankey for outstanding leadership and support of young leaders in Wisconsin. The awards presentation was held at the JAM Virtual State Conference Leadership April 11. A video highlighting the award recipients schools played during the presentation.
WASC is a statewide organization of public, private and parochial elementary, middle, junior and senior high school student councils and student leadership groups dedicated to the continuation and expansion of leadership development and student responsibilities in Wisconsin.
