Hamilton DECA experiences success at state

A total of 44 Hamilton High School DECA members competed March 1-13 in the virtual Wisconsin DECA State Career Development Conference. Hamilton earned 84 awards and qualified 21 members to advance to international competition.

The following students were recognized for their success and will advance to the international conference:

  • Colleen Flynn, first place overall, exam, role play and finalist medals in quick serve restaurant management;
  • Arushi Ranasaria, first place overall, exam, role play and finalist medals in accounting applications;
  • Jenna Riesterer and Margaret Flynn, first place overall and finalist medals in integrated marketing campaign-product;
  • Connor Wilcox and Hayden Pauls, second place overall and finalist medals in start-up business plan;
  • Ava DeCleene, Elise Elkin and Colleen Flynn, second place overall and finalist medals in integrated marketing campaign-service;
  • Margaret Flynn, third place overall, exam, role play and finalist medals in restaurant and food service management;
  • Prathmesh Konda Gopinath, third place overall, exam, role play and finalist medals in business services;
  • Akhil Pidikiti, third place overall, exam, role play and finalist medals in principles of business management and administration;
  • Rashmi Majjigapu and Arushi Ranasaria, third place overall, exam and finalist medals in integrated marketing campaign-product;
  • Maya Desai, fourth place overall, role play and finalist medals in principles of hospitality and tourism;
  • Madelyn Gammon and Norah Miller, fourth place overall and finalist medals in franchise business plan;
  • Aayush Iyengar and Dhruv Ahuja, fourth place overall and finalist medals in innovation plan;
  • Ethan Nolan and Jacob Pfeifer, fifth place overall and finalist medals in financial services;
  • Audrey Davies, eighth place overall, role play and finalist medals in personal finance literacy;
  • Hiranmayi Swaminathan, ninth place overall, exam and finalist medals in human resource management; and
  • Brooke Stanley, exam and role play medals in entrepreneurship.
