Hamilton School District School Board members Michael Hyland and Dawn VanAacken were recognized by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) for serving 30 years on the Hamilton School District School Board.
Hyland and VanAacken will be honored in January at the 2021 WASB virtual State Education Convention. Hyland is actually celebrating 31 years of service, but he was not recognized last year.
WASB Executive Director John Ashley congratulated Hyland and VanAacken on their outstanding dedication to public education.
“I commend Hyland and VanAacken for their commitment to expand educational opportunities for the young people in their community and diligent work to ensure an effective governing body,” Ashley said. “Especially during these challenging times, Mike and Dawn deserve our gratitude for devoting decades to the cause of improving public education in Wisconsin.”
