Hamilton students attend DECA leadership conference

Eight members of Hamilton High School DECA attended the Central Region Leadership Conference Dec. 6-8 in Minneapolis. Students were selected for dedication to leading and elevating DECA at local, state and national levels.DECA-group-photo-Web

More than 2,000 students competed in mock test and role play scenarios to practice their skills. The top 25 in both categories were recognized on stage during the closing session. Hamilton students who were recognized include:

  • Maanya Kashyap – medaled for test and role play,
  • Brooke Stanley – medaled for role play and
  • Arushi Ranasaria – medaled for test.

Additional attendees recognized for exceptional leadership were Madelyn Gammon, Aayush Iyengar, Michael Maher, Rashmi Majjigapu and Norah Miller.

Sessions led by trainers and business professionals on leadership, professionalism and employability skills and networking with students from 13 states in the Midwest were highlights of the conference.
