Hamilton High School’s forensics team earned third place Feb. 24 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational. Sixteen Charger entries advanced to finals which is a team record at the invitational.
The team award was determined by evaluating the average rank performance of individual team members. The following students were award winners:
- Matthew Gnanadass, second place in Extemporaneous Speaking;
- Jonathan Lucero, Dorothy Palmer and Sean Seraphine, second place in Play Acting;
- Madison Ruplinger, second place in Informative Speaking; and
- Shiva Senthil, second place in Radio Speaking.
Focusing on developing students’ public speaking and communication skills, the high school forensics team helps students build confidence and community through extra-curricular competition.
