Students and staff from the Hamilton School District Summer Opportunities Program collected more than 550 food items in the annual the program’s Fantastic Food Drive.
Maple Avenue Elementary School fifth-grader Baden Chic, Hamilton High School juniors Jessica Mysliwski and Olivia Neils, and Templeton Middle School sixth-grader Brandon Hust helped coordinate the drive.
Families of students were encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items to benefit Sussex Outreach Services (SOS) Food Pantry. The food drive was conducted June 19-July 14 and when the collection was delivered to SOS, it weighed in at 544 pounds.
