Halquist Youth Complex to be dedicated May 23

The Hamilton School District will dedicate Halquist Youth Complex May 23 before the start of the Hamilton High School girls’ softball game. The complex became a reality thanks to the generosity of the Halquist Stone Company which provided more than $200,000 toward material, equipment and labor expenses.

Company owners Bill and Tom Halquist will cut the ribbon on the softball field at 4 p.m. before the start of the Hamilton vs. Brookfield Central softball game. Those in attendance will be Hamilton Superintendent Kathleen Cooke, Ph.D., School Board President Gabe Kolesari, Principal Candis Mongan, Athletic-Activities Director Michael Gosz, Softball Head Coach Tom Schlueter, District Groundskeeper Kevin Schein and Pewaukee Sussex United Soccer Club President Chris Beverung.

Located on school grounds south of the high school, Halquist Youth Complex was designed with flexible field space to accommodate two fast-pitch softball and Little League-sized fields and configuration of numerous soccer fields that could include two NCAA regulation size fields as well as other smaller fields. The land is owned by the district.

Hamilton High School is located at W220 N6151 Town Line Road, Sussex.
