Hamilton students earn State Honors

The Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) High School State Honors Music Project invited Hamilton High School students to participate in orchestra, band and choir. Students competed in a rigorous audition process with more than 1,600 auditions throughout the state.

Junior Chloe Simchick and sophomore Megan Jansett were selected for orchestra and band. Simchick and Jansett play the French horn. This is the fourth year Simchick earned this honor.

Choir students invited to participate in the State Honors Choir include:

  • Taylor Bui, treble choir;
  • Salvatore Calatola-Young, mixed choir alternate;
  • Kellie Kuehl, treble choir;
  • Jason Schlaman, mixed choir; and
  • Alaina Valuch, treble choir.

The Wisconsin State Honors Music Project offers talented youth the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally-known conductors. Students selected for the WSMA State Honors Music Project participate in an intensive four day summer camp in June and perform in Madison during late October as part of the Wisconsin State Music Conference.
