Hamilton DECA experiences success at state

Ten Hamilton High School DECA members competed March 8-10 at the Wisconsin DECA Career Development Conference in Lake Geneva.

The following students were recognized and will represent Hamilton at the DECA International Career Conference April 23-26 in Nashville:

  • Mackenzie Jene, fourth place overall, quick serve restaurant management and three medals;
  • Carolyn Troutman overall finalist, apparel and accessories marketing and two medals;
  • Andrew Tai, sixth place overall, economic excellence and one medal, hotel management; and
  • Kayla Muckerheide and Miranda Gammon, Gold certification of Charger Corner Store, School Based Enterprise.

Bobby Mae Cranfield and Janelle Davies  medaled in hospitality services.

Business education teacher and DECA advisor Skip Hay will accompany qualifying students and future Charger Corner manager, Julia Gahr, to the international conference.
