Woodside plans collection for people in need

Woodside Elementary School will have a school assembly Feb. 19 at 2:45 p.m. to kick off its community service project for organizations that serve people in need. As part of its involvement in the Rachel’s Challenge Program, students and families were encouraged earlier in the year to make a permanent positive change in themselves and their school and community.

Toys, books, clothing, baby items and non-perishable food will be collected and donated to the Sussex Food Pantry, Milwaukee Rescue Mission and Hope House of Milwaukee. The drive will take place Feb. 22 through March 24 and continues after Spring Break April 4 through May 20.

Community members are welcome to join the school by participating in the project. For additional information, please call the Woodside office at (262) 820-1530 or visit www.rachelschallenge.org.

Woodside Elementary School is located at W236 N7465 Woodside Rd. in Sussex.
