Fruit will be packed in boxes of various sizes priced from $20 to $40 per box. Community members may choose from 20 different purchasing options that include just one type of fruit per box or fruit combinations. Detailed information about options and prices is posted on the district website in the fundraising section.
Students will sell the fruit until Nov. 6. It will arrive on Dec. 8 and will be delivered to customers’ homes.
The tree-ripened fruit is selected from the top 15 percent of the crop and has passed inspection by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Citrus. It is suitable for gift-giving. If stored in a refrigerator or cool, dry basement, the fruit should keep well for about six weeks.
