Woodside student published on worldwide website

The work of Woodside Elementary School student Austin DeCraene was chosen for publication on the worldwide website News-O-Matic. DeCraene, a student in Cate O’Connell’s fourth grade classroom, submitted writing for News-O-Matic’s “Search for Spring” contest. His piece, “The Wonderful Spring View of Austin,” was chosen winner in the category for students under age 10 years and was published on the website.

News-O-Matic, a subscription app by Press4Kids, delivers news and human interest stories five days a week to children. The app has been downloaded in classrooms, libraries and homes in 147 countries has earned high praise from Teachers with Apps, the American Association of School Librarians and other educational organizations.
