Hamilton High School Charger Band recently returned from a successful trip to New York City where its Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble participated in the International Festival of Music. Bands from throughout North America were adjudicated by a panel of university professors assembled at the festival where each Hamilton group placed second.
In addition to performing, students learned from a cast member and a musician from the long-running Broadway musical, “Chicago,” about professional musicianship and study.
