Hamilton drama to present “Beauty and the Beast”

Experience Disney’s classic tale of love and transformation as the Hamilton High School Drama Department presents “Beauty and the Beast” Feb. 9-12 in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center. Shows are at        7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and at 2 p.m. for the Sunday performance.

This family-friendly musical is based on the Academy award-winning animated feature about Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. The production includes all of the songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, and $3 for children under age four. For advance ticket purchases and additional information, please call the Drama Department Box Office at (262) 246-6471 x1552.
