Lannon Elementary School students will celebrate Red Ribbon Week Oct. 26 with a presentation by Jay Elliot of JK Lee Tae Kwon Do, who will speak about discipline, respect and confidence.
The instructor will speak from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the school gym. Parents are invited to attend the all-school show. Elliot, who works at the Germantown location, will speak about the verbal judo three-step plan for conflict resolution, including deep breathing, asking politely and giving options.
Red Ribbon Week is national campaign to raise awareness of alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention.
Lannon Elementary School is located at 7145 N. Lannon Road in Lannon.
