Hamilton offers drivers’ education

Registration for Hamilton High School fall drivers’ education – including theory, simulation and behind-the-wheel – is open until Sept. 10. Completed forms without fees will be accepted at the high school office during school hours or by mail. Students who will be 16 years old by April 30, 2010 are eligible to enroll in all three phases of the program.

The theory phase begins on Sept. 14 and includes 16 two-hour classes from 3:40 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. The simulation, which starts the week of Oct. 1 or Oct. 8, is six two-hour classes. Behind-the-wheel includes six two-hour lessons and is held from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. or 3:40 to 5:40 on weekdays or Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Fees are $150 for theory-simulation, $150 for behind-the-wheel and $300 for the full program.
