The Florentine Opera Company will bring its performance of “Pinocchio” to Woodside Elementary School fourth-graders. The performance will be Jan. 21 from 2:20 p.m. to 3:05 p.m., and will take place in the school’s Large Group Area.
This humorous opera is performed in English and uses famous melodies from various operas. The performance will help students overcome preconceived notions about opera while reinforcing concepts they are learning in music class. Students also will observe expressive performing skills they will use in March when they sing, act and dance in their own production.
This performance was brought to Woodside by its Home and School. Woodside is located at W236 N7465 Woodside Road, Sussex.
